Fall In the Valley

22 October 2007

We had a great time over at Russ and Manda’s last night carving pumpkins (Tess painted the one below), eating chili and pumpkin pie (not together) , and enjoying some nice Octoberfest and Pumpkin ales. The only thing missing was the cold weather…

…until today, that is. Yesterday it was 95 degrees as Tess and I were doing some work outside. I got some nasty mosquito bites and just about ruined my nice pants from sweat. But today, within two hours, the temperature dropped to a WONDERFUL 65 degrees. Thank the Lord! It feels like Fall now.

In the valley, you get surprised by fall every few weeks or so. It’s very pleasant. We got that cold front here, too, and it cooled it down to a nice 50 degrees! Your day of fall festivities sounds like pure bliss. I wish I could be there with you all, except for the whole 95 degrees thing! :)

Congratulations on the baby! A little girl, any names picked out?
Believe it or not I miss Texas. Enjoy it. The pumpkin looks amazing. Tessi has a gift.
    Take care,

Hey Courtney! Yeah if it is in fact a girl, we’re thinking of naming her Mara Breigh, and if the songram is wrong (like it has been for a lot of people we know) then we’ll name him Liam Michael.

Check out this post for the latest shots of Tess’s belly, as well as for some sonogram photos:

    And thanks for the congrats!
